Inspired by both the hipster thread and the LOAP thread, I wanted to do something where people can post artists/songs that are new to them. They can be old records, but as long as they are a fairly recent discovery. I'll update this with recent discoveries as life goes on. In the past week, I've loved:

Lianne La Havas

Credit to Owl for leading me to her.

This has GOT to be one of my favorite singles of 2012. The simplicity, those vocals!

And I'm pretty sure her album came out in June or July.

Strange Talk

sticks led me to this one. Their EP is great!

Washed Out

I was listening to a radio interview Elly Jackson of La Roux did and she picked three records she wanted the station to play. This was one of them!

I mean, it's Grammy worthy. Is it not?

I downloaded the album and I kept Lost & Found, Au Cinema and Forget. The rest seemed quite samey and forgettable.

Whenever you try to spread the word about some good music, the thread flops.

Anyway, I remember you telling me about Trust. Those two videos are pretty solid! I still have to check out their album.

I JUST found out about Washed Out last night and I'm blown away by them. Such great electronic music! I've been having a craving for it lately.
