You have to space it out that much though. Pop radio won't play a song like R.I.P unless it's already doing well on other formats, and already like top 50 on iTunes at the very least. Look how long it took them to pick up on Lights, Somebody That I Used to Know, etc.
It's normal to spread out urban/pop crossover hits like that, for example, with Super Bass they did:
Rhythmic: 5th April
Pop: 17th May
Urban: 20th June
No Rita Ora song is going to take off very quickly, as she's a new artist. Only established artists can shoot up the airplay charts really fast on multiple formats at the same time.
Not just R.I.P, whatever song Rita uses will have to last 3-4 months. The charts are very slow these days.
Of course, if R.I.P flops on rhythmic then obviously they will cancel it by September/October time and use something different instead.
