I love them both, read most of the avenger comics and I've read all the hunger games books.

As a huge Hungers Game fan, my problem with the movie was that it was too vague. The first time watching it I thought they did an amazing job, but after re-watching it wasn't that great. They failed to show many of the important points that left a lot of my friends that weren't Hunger Games readers blank.

The Avengers was beyond amazing. I didn't know any of the super heroes stories except for Iron Man, and they did a great job catching a casual viewer up within the first 20 minutes of the show. As well the effects were amazing and the actors killed their roles.

Joss Whedon isn't an extraordinarily clever screenwriter. He just isn't. Watching The Avengers in a crowded theater proved to be a pretty frustrating experience. The audience's reaction to every cheap gag and stale witticism was so absurdly overzealous.

The Hunger Games isn't perfect, but it could have been much worse.

Both of them but I prefer The Hunger Games because the story has more depth and it is more meaningful, whilst The Avenger was just fun to see
