Ke$ha would be incredibly lucky to have an era like "Teenage Dream." even people who don't care for Katy as an artist can usually admit that she had an incredible run, due in great part to her label's unending support. we'll see if RCA can step up to the plate like that for Ke$ha.
She'd be incredibly lucky to have an era like Teenage Dream? An album that is universally
seen as a joke with literally nothing new to offer to pop music? I don't think so.
I'd rather see Ke$ha flop than even try to approach Katy's tactics.
Yes, I can only hope Ke$ha goes desperate measures to push her songs into the public eye
and to get #1 singles. Not to mention the incredibly 'fresh' lyrics and production structure that
Katy brings to the table. I can only hope that RCA will force Ke$ha to discount her singles and
pretend that it actually means something when they chart well.
I'm gonna stop you right there.
Ke$ha is not Katy Perry.
I don't want my fave having an album full of desperate #1s from Dr. Luke's vault.
Additionally, I would like to see an award or two. Katy can't claim that so well.
Perhaps you misread my post or looked into it way too literally. Obviously Ke$ha isn't going to reach Katy's record number of #1s. I never said that. I was more implying that this sophomore album (alike Teenage Dream) will solidify Ke$ha as a real competitor in the pop world, instead of the underdog that she's always been. This is similar to the situation Katy went through with One of the Boys. That is what I was trying to say. People were unsure of her ever coming back even bigger.
