Katy's concert movie won't break even from box-office
Update 2：
Paramount just announced
Production budget : $12M
Marketing budget: $ 18M
Total budget = $30M
Which means the movie needs at least $60M - $75M to break even.
It won't gain any profit from box-office alone.

The opening is very weak in comparison to Jonas Brothers's $4.9M and JB's $12M starts, though, considering it is low budget, the number is acceptable.

I don't understand why they released a movie for her? It could of been a behind the scenes on MTV or vh1. Britney Spears movie would of been more interesting.

It costs 12 million (and a addition 10-20 million on marketing). It won't gain profits for studio and Katy. Anyway, it won't make them bankrupt either.
