We all love Utada but can we please talk about how messy the album Exodus is?
I personally think Easy Breezy is one of the better tracks in the album
but the lyrics still makes me want to choke on my own tongue and stare at a picture of a pedophile all day long.
"I still remember the ways that you touched me
Now I know I don't mean anything to you You're easy breezey and I'm Japanesey
Soon you'll mean exactly nothing to me
Does that mean anything to you?"
The chorus, regardless of the fact that it contains that irritating line, is the only thing that makes sense in this entire song.
And just when I thought the chorus was bad the last part of the song has the lyrics, "She's got a new microphone..."
And then the video ()...
That make-up , the raincoat, the phone booth scene.
Thank God she brought us two masterpieces after that album.
It's grown on me so much after initially disliking it. The lyrics aren't bad, they make sense to me.
Also, the whole Exodus album is a masterpiece. I mean, Exodus '04, Devil Inside, Kremlin Dusk, Tippy Toe, Hotel Lobby, Let Me Give You My Love, Animato
And then of course this
Quante ne vorrei fare ma poi rimango fermo
Guardo la vita in foto e giā č arrivato un altro inverno
Non cambio mai su questo mai, distruggo tutto sempre
Se vi ho deluso chieder scusa non servirā a niente
The song would be totally rubbish going by the uninspired lyrics and her weak vocal delivery, but I still find myself listening to the song quite a lot. It's definitely NOT my least favorite song from Hikki.
