You know that love, you hear and see it all the time. Its the love between two young people mostly in their teen years who fall "in love". However most people just brush it off as puppy love, and they'll quickly move on to someone else. And most people on the other hand call it real love. Histories most famous debate about this is Romeo & Juliet, I'm sure you read that play at some point.

So do you believe in young love, or is it just an infatuation?

I think a lot of teenagers confuse love and lust, and jump into things too quickly. I see tons of couples having sex after 2 months and breaking up after 3. There's only been 2 couples in my grade that have lasted longer than a year because they're really the only ones that are truly in love. That's why I don't date right now, it seems useless putting the effort into a relationship when it probably won't even last. There's one girl that I like, but she also happens to be one of my closest friends, and I'm sure she thinks I'm gay too lol (I'm bi) so there's not really much chance of that happening. Other than that though there's only people that I would want to get in a one night stand with

I say yes. I'm in a relationship right now and I can honestly tell you I hate being apart from him. I'm just attached to him greatly and he said he feels the same. Were so opposite, yet so compatible

How young are we talking?

Depending on the age I believe it can only be a combination of infatuation and lust. These younger ones are discovering their bodies and their hormones are starting to move all over the place. I don't believe they can understand the concept of love or the good and bad that comes along with it and how it affects their relationship and the ones with the people around them.

Like 95% of the time when someone from the ages of 14-21 says they're in love I don't believe them or I think they're confusing real love with puppy love. I don't say it though but I'm definitely thinking it. It's easy to "fall in love" when you're younger because it could be your first relationship or your hormones are going crazy. If it's the first time somebody is treating you like that it's easy to assume it's love but I don't think so...I remember three different guys from when I was in middle/high school who at the time I thought I was in love with and now that I'm slightly older I realize it was nothing but infatuation. But that 5% of the time it actually is the real deal and the people end up being together for the rest of their lives and that's really nice, honestly

I don't think I've seen or read the famous Romeo & Juliet story. Just been exposed to some parts of it I can't even remember. I know it's a classic but what they say is "classic" is always meh to me.

You could always watch the film with Leonardo Di Caprio, its the modern version of the play.

me and my first love came together when I was 16. We were together for 6 years and we broke up recently. I was the happiest and luckiest human being in those 6 years and I'm convinced that what I felt or what I'm feeling was pure and honest love. we made a lot of sacrifices, we worked very hard on our relationship and although we broke up I regret nothing because I know what it's like to love and to be loved and I didn't take it for granted. So yes I believe in young love

Yes, but I feel like "true love" is rare for teenagers. I've been in "young love" and was with a girl for three years. It was a very serious relationship and we would've done anything for each other. I can't say the same for most of my peers in relationships around my age, but there were a few. I think it's difficult when you're young to know exactly what love is and not confuse it with so many other factors: lust, a need to be accepted socially, curiosity, etc. But it is definitely possible and who's to tell anyone that they weren't truly in love? It's really subjective and that's what makes it hard. Some people define love as commitment over a long period of time through thick and thin; others believe that love can be found within a day's time. It's all up to the individual how sincerely they believe in their "young love" or not. Personally, I definitely think I was in love when I was a teenager and definitely think it's possible for people to fall in love at a young age.
