Justin Bieber's NBC special flops in ratings
Bieber’s special disappointed in the ratings Wednesday night. Even by summer TV’s modest ratings standards, All Around the World (3.3 million viewers, 0.9 adults 18-49 rating) was a flop. And it’s only part one of a two-part special chronicling the Beebs’ promotional tour for his new album Believe. NBC came in fourth place in the 8 p.m. hour, with CBS’ aptly named Dogs in the City (4.9 million, 1.0) edging out Bieber.
Meanwhile, Fox’s SYTYCD (6.5 million, 2.4) led the night, though was down a tenth this week. ABC’s Duets (4.2 million, 1.1) was unchanged from last week.

His latest album, Believe, scored the biggest first week sales of the year, opened with 374K, which is good but still lower than the original predictions. It fell to #3 in 2nd week, selling 116K (69% drop)

Do you think Justin Bieber is really fading away like these previous teen phenomena, or he's becoming more of an 'established' artist? Or is it still too early to tell?

Nope. He's just not "new" anymore. He's so successful & he'll continue to be successful. After all, people are going to realize that him & his music grew/matured for the better.

He's not necessarily "fading"... I mean, there are enough of his demographic around to keep him relevant when it comes to album sales, touring receipts, etc...

Artistically, he has never really been critically claimed (nor is he likely to ever be, if this is the direction he wants to go down).

So IDK. He'll probably be around for a while, though.

Yes, Believe is too generic and try-hard imo. He's not that talented, but he could've done a lot better. Or maybe I'm just overestimating him. Anyways, at least his replacement (One Direction) can sing live and do it well.

Bieber's numbers are not even close to GaGa's "flop" era's 50%.

Is Gaga fading with Born This Way? Bieber is just getting established like Willy. said. He just isn't "new" anymore. He's talented, but his personality overshadows his talent a lot.
