Maroon 5 started out a soft rock/alternative project which has, in recent years, moved towards big pop production and electronic sound to fit into the radio trends.
Nicki Minaj began as an MC out of New York, always claiming that she's loyal to where she came from, but recently has been making pop anthems next to her rap ones.
Britney Spears started as a teen writing music with some producers, and became a woman who sings songs written by others, and is known to lip-sync among recent years.
Rihanna was popular for her 'islander' sound with Pon De Replay, and rooted herself into the music scene, making pop-rock and dance as her career sped up.
So, which of these are sell-outs? Of course, I made them all sound guilty of selling out, but reason your way through this. If you have others in mind, explain.
