If Britney had never came out in 1998 and was 16 years old now and released Baby One More Time would it be a hit, have the same impact it did in the 90's, or totally flop? Carly Rae Jepsen has had big success with Call Me Maybe which I could imagine being from the late 90's so idk.
With same promo and same Britney, yes. The song would be as big as Call Me Maybe (probably bigger). Not sure how far Britney herself would go. Right now we have so many solo females starts, back then Britney was basically the first of the kind in a very very long time that's why she took the world by storm.
Yes, it's catchiness is undeniable. Also teen pop seems to be making somewhat of a comeback with Carly Rae Jepsen, One Direction and others ruling the charts.

Yes, but it'd be a hit like Call Me Maybe probably. Nothing bigger than that. But if 2001-2004ney were to be out right now, I'm pretty sure she'd be #1 right now or tied with Gaga.
