"Rumors" is a song by American recording artist Lindsay Lohan, taken from her debut studio album, Speak (2004).
The dance-pop song draws influences from electro-rock, while its lyrics allude to the constant paparazzi and media backlash regarding Lohan. It received mixed reviews from music critics; a few called it infectious, while others called it unnecessary In the United States, the song peaked at number six on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles, but was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping over 500,000 units of the single.
It's all a matter of taste but this deserved to reach top 10, at least. And the critical reception could have been way better! It's so unique. It's far from being another generic dance-pop song and it gives another perspective on pop-rock music.

****ing SO underrated!! Before I followed chart success I thought this song was a roaring smash! I was surprised to learn later that it flopped.
How could they let this smash flop?! And that music video snatches everything in sight the way she struts down that hallway and gives ****-eye to the camera amist the papparazi flashes.

All of her discography is underrated. Her 2nd album is REALLY good.

This song is awesome. But the song Speak is the true masterpiece on this album. A timeless and breathtaking classic.
