Why is the UK cold to Britney?
Her tour reviews weren't too bad outside the UK but in the UK they dragged her. FF album flopped there and even before FF in her prime she had no #1 albums in the UK. UK embraces a lot of popstars, why are they cold to Britney?

Zero promotion in the UK and her team is un-aware that the charting process for songs is TOTALLY different than here in ths US....and the UK dragged her for lip-syncing.

Well, besides the fact that Britney's last major promo in the UK was in 2008, it's the fact that she lip-syncs. They will drag you for that in the UK. Well, FF managed to go Silver in the UK, something is something. Circus actually went platinum to my surprise. Her last #1 song there was in 2004. She has to get her ass to the UK and get herself a #1 album there.

The UK are so weird over here about miming. In America it's more accepted but it will literally make front page news if someone mimes.

The UK generally shows extremely respect for artists who "exhibit" live talent. Britney, while not untalented, tends to opt for an easy way out and that really rubs them the wrong way.
Compare US popstars to UK popstars. ALL stars out of the UK can sing live, and very well at that. The US stars, not as much because the US doesn't care. I wish they did tbh, Britney has a pretty good voice and should be forced to use it if she wants to be a singer.

The UK hate lipsyncing so that always goes down badly especially when her dancing isn't great. She had no promo or hype so it's not surprising FF flopped here. We were here for her other era's.

People know she mimes, but what irks us is she doesn't try. Also radio don't hammer her. If Capital and Radio 1 did she'd have huge sales like Cheryl and others.

It was because of her performance of Womanizer on X Factor in 2008.
The media were HORRIBLE to her after that. She was getting ridiculed in all the newspapers and everything. People saw he as a bit of a joke after that. 
I don't think she should come to promote in the UK tbh. Why put herself in that situation again? It would probably hurt her career more, if anything.

I don't know why people say the UK doesn't like lipsyncers when Girls Aloud and Cheryl Cole wipe the floor with the charts over there. I don't think the problem is so much that Britney lip syncs so much that she is the face of bubble gum pop music in America and they never got over it. They never saw her as anything else other then a bubble gum pop sensation and they refused to let her progress to an adult act. It doesn't help that she hasn't done anything in terms of promotion over there in years and yeah one performance on X-Factor isn't going to do anything for her long term, nor those 5 minute interviews she participated in.

Their's a lot of Britney's top 10 or Britney top 20 countdowns on the music channels (this is generally the most common way UK residents listen to music) and HIAM got a lot of plays on MTV but overall her newer stuff isn't played that often. I see BOMT nearly everyday though
