Born This Way Ball Tour reviews:
All reviews for Lady Gaga's "The Born This Way Ball" tour should be posted in this thread. The OP will be updated with links to each review. Feel free to post reviews you find or even your own!

Singapore
Gaga's charisma and voice impresses Singapore
Manila, Philippines
The international pop superstar showed that she has perfected the “art” of live performances. She sings, dances, does theatrics, and interacts with props seamlessly on stage.
Many concerts have featured amazing stages with hydraulics, fireworks, rotating aerial contraptions and fantastic set design, but still Gaga takes the cake. But considering that she can actually sing, write, dance, play piano and guitar – quite well, truthfully – it’s not surprising that she became famous in spite – or maybe, because – of her sometimes-offensive peculiarities.
Auckland, New Zealand
Lady Gaga "spellbinding" in New Zealand
You want to be Gaga, you want to **** Gaga. Lady Gaga brought the Born This Way Ball to New Zealand last night and turned the writhing mass into little monsters whether they liked it or not.
Gaga puts on a spectacular show in NZ. Gaga is a brilliant singer, songwriter and dancer - when she got the opportunity to open her lungs on songs like You and I, and The Edge of Glory, there was no doubt she's the new Madonna.
Gaga proved herself as a singer and musician, singing numerous a capella numbers in an almost operatic style, as well as sometimes playing instruments.
She finished with a technically brilliant, soaring and passionate rendition of The Edge of Glory and it obvious Gaga believes in her message, you can feel it in her voice. Behind all lights, glitz, meat, guns and exploding bras is a singer of exceptional talent.
In between wowing the crowd with her dancing, vocals or a combination of the two, Gaga got candid with the audience.
Brisbane, Australia
Big shows like Lady Gaga aren't rare in Brisbane but shows as big, spectacular, bizarre, theatrical and fabulous are.
As we've come to expect from Gaga there's countless eccentric costumes, and she gives her adoring fans her all, throwing everything at the two-hour spectacular.
Madonna, even with her recently exposed 53-year-old nipple, cannot touch the sort of theatre and experience Gaga is giving her fans. 5/5 STARS
The Australian: An extravaganza in every sense, the Born This Way Ball will be remembered as a benchmark tour. It's that good.
Hair and the rock ballad You and I were the highlights as Gaga showed off one thing Madonna never had — supreme pipes.
This was a phenomenal concert by anyone’s measure – arguably one of the performances of the year
As for her performance, it couldn't be faulted. She's a machine!! She pumped her fist and stomped her feet and her vocals stayed right on key with loads of energy.
MTV: Overall the ‘Born This Way Ball’ show is unforgettable and has set an incredibly high standard for any pop artists considering a world tour.
Sydney, Australia
All in all the Born This Way Ball is something you have to see to believe -- a look into the strange and brilliant mind of a truly innovative performer.
This was a serious attempt at a big pop show, stacked with dancers and cranked up to high volume. Momentum was halted due to costume changes. 3/5 stars
A thrilling electro-metal pop-opera, The Born This Way Ball reaffirms Lady Gaga’s status as the new queen of pop music. As Garrett Bithell writes, her reign is a welcome one.
Melbourne, Australia
LADY Gaga last night raised the stadium show bar with her Born This Way Ball tour
Few artists who could fill Rod Laver Arena five times as she has on this tour with a show that encourages them to be as bizarre as possible.
Lady Gaga leaves Melbourne spellbound and inspired
I give her Melbourne Born This Way Ball 10 monster claws out of 10.
It’s clear she is no record label manufactured, computer-altered pop act. Her talent is 100 per cent real.
Perth, Australia
Fan Review: Perthfect In Every Way
You could write 10,000 words on the Born This Wall Ball and not fully capture the experience. So let's just sum it up in one word - Gagargantuan.
3.5/5 stars
Gaga gave her Perth fans the elaborate, whizz-bang musical extravaganza they demanded from her. Her voice stamped her as one of the few solid live entertainers of today.
Overall the show was a huge success.
Bulgaria
"The Born This Way Ball" is said to be something until now unseen in Bulgaria, and a show that even outperformed the one Madonna staged in Sofia several years back.
Lady Gaga is the new trend-setter in modern pop. Especially after Madonna the Great is no longer a synonym of a good gig. The Queen of pop has been dethroned by a 26-year-old American of Italian descent. Gaga had a fast grip over the audience and proved that nowadays she has no match in pop music.
Romania
Gaga has written an important page in the history of live music that the Romanian public had the opportunity to enjoy again.
Lady Gaga awes Bucharesters with energy-laden show
In conclusion, the presence of a complete artist like Lady Gaga on the Romanian scene is a rare moment. She will be viewed as unparalleled even for those who came with a dose of skepticism to the concert.
Austria
Vienna pop amusement park where she showed off her undeniable vocal abilities
Lithuania
Vingis Park witnessed one of the most amazing events in years in Lithuania - Pop star Lady Gaga's concert.
Latvia
Fans of Lady Gaga and others in the crowd in Mežaparks witnessed one of the largest and most impressive concerts to date in Latvia.
Eccentric Lady Gaga gave a stunning show in Riga
Estonia
Positive crowd reviews from Estonia
Helsinki, Finland
Gaga's wild and fun show
Her music and personality phenomenon remained elusive until the end, but she still had some incomprehensible X Factor, which fascinated and nailed my eye for two hours.
The Telegraph: 4/5 stars. Lady Gaga occupies pole position as the 21st century's ultimate pop star. The real highlight of the show is when she drops the big production, chats engagingly with her fans and sings songs solo at her piano (admittedly an instrument fashioned from a motorbike). That's where you see and hear what an undeniable talent she is.
Gaga is not "copying" Madonna – she has virtually eaten the woman and is throwing up a wonderful, projectile, multicoloured arc of the stuff night after night, for all to see.
Stockholm, Sweden
Sweden: 4/5 stars
Surrealist Lady Gaga gave everything Lady Gaga delivers additional all and more at the Globe. It is pop at the highest level but her fine voice ports sadly in the shadow of the spectacular show.
4/5 stars
5/5 stars - To compare her with other arena pop artist shows is just unfair. Lady Gaga plays in a completely different league. And although tonight's experience was hard to beat, this is just the beginning.
Denmark
4/6 stars
Lady Gaga proves that she is not just a pop star, but one of the music world's top artists
This tour is more about an experience than a concert, and it is a pity, because she may in fact one of the few pop icons who have both format and live talent to pull a regular concert home.
Cologne, Germany
Pop queen Lady Gaga in Cologne in love with latex. She is like Madonna, except Lady Gaga sings better.
Yesterday Lady Gaga opened her tour of Germany with an amazing breathtaking live show in Cologne. The choreographed show their enthusiastic but thousands of fans so much that their ecstasy literally floated in the air, the Lanxess Arena.
Who really wants now to dare to compare Gaga with Madonna, yes guested a few weeks ago in the same place, hear this: The 54-year-old is eaten up and spat out by the 26-year-old Lady Gaga.
United Kingdom:
The Guardian: 4/5 STARS - The tightly choreographed hits sound terrific, but it's when this curious star sabotages the slickness that she seems most herself.
The Independent - 4/5 STARS - There are many accusations you can throw at Gaga, but lack of ambition ain’t one. Her gigs are like rock operas, staggering tableaux strung along a loopy narrative thread.
The Independent: Gaga remains the only modern pop star worthy of being talked about in the same breath as Bowie, and her rivals – Rihanna and Beyoncé – aren't fit to lick Gaga's studded six-inch heels
London Evening Standard: 4/5 STARS - At just 26 the former Stefani Germanotta is the first great pop star of the 21 Century. Impossibly charismatic, Gaga’s mystique remains intact: her between-song babbling suggested heartfelt confession, but she gave away nothing of herself.
Digital Spy - 4/5 STARS
Entertainment Focus - 4/5 stars
The Press Association - Lady Gaga put on a characteristically spectacular show as she brought her Born This Way Ball to Twickenham Stadium.
Gay Times - The whole Born This Way Ball was glorious. It couldn't not be, when a castle bursts open and some of the greatest pop songs of the decade are blasted out, alongside an epic alien invasion narrative.
Metalhammer - We do stick around to see what all the fuss is about with Lady Gaga, and yes, despite whatever you may think of her music, we can confirm that she packs a stage show to rival KISS in the OTT stakes. There’s something ever so slightly edgy about her whole persona that many other pop stars just don’t seem to reach – which may explain some of the rather surprising faces we see dotted around the crowd
As entrances go, emerging out of a gothic castle riding a black unicorn around the Manchester Arena is pretty impressive. In just four years, 26-year-old New Yorker Stefani Germanotta has transformed herself into probably the world's biggest pop star.
Wild, eccentric and unforgettable – Lady Gaga rocked Manchester once again and reminded us all why the music industry so desperately needs her.
Dublin, Ireland
Irish Independent: World's biggest pop superstar delivers superb show
Irish News: Love her or hate her she is arguably this decade's ultimate pop star and on Saturday night she showed the 50,000 fans who had travelled to Dublin's Aviva stadium to see her Born This Way Ball why. The two-hour pop music spectacular, when taken for what it was, was undeniably a great night's entertainment.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Visitors to the Lady Gaga concert on Tuesday in Ziggo Dome got their money's worth. The singer began punctually, was in good voice, got the audience to laugh and took plenty of time for her fans.
The American pop phenomenon came, saw and overwhelmed Monday.
For the fourth time in two years occurs Lady GaGa in the Netherlands with a great and creative concert that is not lacking in artistic expressions.
She knows like no other to entertain her fans with shocking outfits and spectacle and as icing on the cake (it would hardly part) she was also very good voice. Compared with Madonna at the Arena in 2008, 1-0 Gaga.
Berlin, Germany
The Darkness and Lady Gaga deliver arguably the best pop show that the Berlin O2 World must align this year.
Lady Gaga is known as the new Queen of Pop, as discovery of the millennium, as a style icon. She justified that exuberant praise, the 26-year-old New Yorker proved on Thursday night at the Berlin O2 World.
Because unlike Madonna, whose artificial spectacle you could experience at the same place, the younger rival is cheeky, fresh, uncompromising. She is closer to her audience, is snotty, rough and direct, and makes up for in charm and chutzpah, and does not lack in musical genius. That is impressive.
Paris, France
The setting is spectacular. The American diva with long platinum hair connects the tunes ("Telephone," "Poker Face," "Bad Romance," "Judas", "Born This Way") and costumes at a rate unbridled and transposes on stage with brilliance that made her reputation.
Sometimes dancing, sometimes playing the piano or the guitar, unlike Madonna who is constantly compared, Gaga is a real talent of the musician. But also a true talent of singer (rare these days), it was demonstrated at the end of the show with a piano and voice of The Edge of Glory.
Attached to a unicorn for her triumphant arrival, she does what she does so well, to show her nearly 75 000 people. Better than Madonna and her debacle Olympia, Mother Monster gave fans their money's worth.
Hanover, Germany
Bombastic concert spectacle: Go, Gaga, go!
Zurich, Switzerland
Lady Gaga is the actual, Quint-essential entertainer and legitimate (POP) voice of the generation.
Against the backdrop of a huge, fairytale Castle the pop icon presents a fantastic freak show, a kitsch art and fashion spectacle a surprisingly mixed audience (age and sex), as Zurich has never seen.
Antwerp, Belgium
Pounding beats, tight choreography with an army of scantily clad dancers and outrageous costumes.
Milan, Italy
The show was futuristic and the provocative Queen pop did not disappoint the expectations of those who attended
Lady Gaga's fans are rewarded with spectacle
The show was futuristic and the provocative Queen pop did not disappoint the expectations of those who attended
The pop event of the year. Sings live but without using any playback, making clear that her legacy is just starting.
The Lady Gaga concert in Milan was spectacular: great scenery, lights, sound, special effects, glamour, and lots, lots of music.
The "Born This Way Ball Tour", the date of 2 October in Milan, was absolute perfection. if you take away all those superstructures and those excesses, clothes (beautiful) and the scenery, provocations and sexy dancers, choreography and lights, the band and singers, her talent remains.
Lady GaGa has class, talent and what it takes to sell and has managed to put on display, like it or not, a show of pop-art unique and ever seen of its kind.
The Gaga's musical talent is unquestionable. Her voice is chilling and is valued especially in You and I, where she accompanies on piano, and in the grand final of The Edge of Glory.
Two and a half hours of pure crystal entertainment where you are not spared in anything: we applaud you too without delay Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta.
It is clear that Angelina Germanotta took Madonna unabashedly as a model, maximizing her theatrical ambitions and, together, making them appear old.
Lady Gaga did not disappoint the expectations of fans who have flocked to the Assago Forum. She enriched even further the sense of the live show.
Nice, France
Unlike Madonna, which rests on her dancers and the Visual effects of the show, Gaga made the show, old-fashioned, continuously spring the crowd to participate. Lady Gaga is thought to be a pop diva, but basically she is a real rocker.
Stefani Germanotta is a true singer, as well as a great performer. If one were to retain a thing of great and euphoric show that Lady Gaga offers during this tour, this would be this: her ability to make human and almost intimate interaction with public, in the ultra frame corseted mega global show. We understand that Madonna is jealous: she herself has never reached this.
Barcelona, Spain
a show set in a huge medieval castle full of excesses which has brought her little more closer to the top of the pop.
that leaves Lady Gaga pretty far ahead in intention, elegance and imagination of other pop divas..
Exceeds expectations with a stellar performance in Palau Sant Jordi. The singer unleashes delirium among the public by offering a total art show, musical and talent. a show of more than two hours and measured to the last second, demonstrating that this artist is made of sterner stuff or at least, sees and knows how to sell her product to make sure it is unsurpassed.
Thus, she surprisingly stands out from Madonna, an artist who had accused Lady Gaga of imitation excessively. With this "Born This Way Ball Tour she 'finally mark their own personality.
Lady Gaga's concert this Saturday night at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona has left fans wanting more. Her latest success was Marry The Night, which ended the concert with applause and cheers of "Little monsters" of the singer who had been able to bring together thousands of fans who have not missed the show of the next queen of pop .
See next post.

Lady Gaga managed to charm the more than 40,000 people who attended her show at Foro Sol
During her visit to the country, the New York artist showed signs of talent that has catapulted her to the top of the world. The bizarre concert confirmed she as an artist able to challenge herself, go to any point where your imagination can carry it.
...the excitement was when the U.S. star had demonstrated her good choreography and the power of her voice.
Gaga won with a majestic spectacle with a high sexual content.
Stefani Germanotta's pop spectacle draws a high level, with a fresh and intense dynamics without yawning space. In those first 60 minutes of Gaga in the spotlight, there are clear reasons for her sudden rise and how she was able to leave almost obsolete the performances of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera or the Disney clan
Puerto Rico
The singer meets the expectations of the thousands of fans who attended the first of two concerts
Costa Rica
Give to Caesar what is Caesar: there is no denying that the American singer Lady Gaga knows what a show is, in every sense of the word.
Lady Gaga goes wild in Costa Rica
Lady Gaga wows Costa Rica audience
Colombia
Lady Gaga presented a rather theatrical show in Bogota. At age 26 Gaga has established herself as one of the best singers in the music industry today.
Lady Gaga rewarded her followers with a two hour world-class show.
The 'Born This Way Ball Tour' brought to Colombia an experience that many expected, however, no one imagined a show of this magnitude and color; Gaga devoured the audience with her choreography, staging and repertoire.
Rio, Brazil
The "Born This Way Ball Tour 'is not just a show, is a first-rate musical, worthy of Broadway. But that's not all. The pop star went further and created a strong and deep connection with the audience
Sao Paulo, Brazil
Lady Gaga has designed a show full of nuances, a decent stadium - as was the case in the state capital, where she sang in Morumbi - and joining the hall of the great touring pop, mixing visual effects, dance and a touch of theater. anyone who watched the show by the singer should remember the presentation for a long time.
The jaw-dropping show was amazing and apotheotic. Her musical quality has been improving with each album, and comparing his voice with that of contemporary divas, she holds as well as Amy did or as Florence does, given the proper proportions.
You can take the castle, dancers, 18 costumes and even the wig. The "Mother Monster" is the new icon of this generation, in consequence of her talent and strong ideology "Born This Way".
Porto Alegre, Brazil
The 26-year-old singer is the most successful in history. Not even Madonna at age 26 had earned much notoriety. Friendliness, pyrotechnics and controversial mix with the air of friendly girl, who, at all times, thanked the affection of the fans.
There is something about Lady Gaga that can't be explained in words, there is something about great artists that we can't define. Maybe this is just a way to recognize the great artists. At 26, Lady Gaga has joined that list.
Buenos Aires, Argentina
For the final leg, Gaga said goodbye with a cappella version of "Marry the Night" and which showed that not only extravagance and paraphernalia are part of her show, but also she has an excellent voice.
After the huge success of her debut album, The Fame (2008), the singer managed to reach the top of pure talent and controversy, and last night at she River made it clear that she is here to stay on top, beyond the tireless comparisons with Madonna.
Chile
From her entrance mounted on a Unicorn, and after more than two hours of show, Lady Gaga wowed with her voice and her dancing.
The great successes of the artist - "Born This Way", "Bad Romance," "Judas," "Just Dance," "Telephone," "Poker Face," "Alejandro" and "Paparazzi" - were part of the neat and eccentric show of just over two hours raised by the pop diva.
Johannesburg, South Africa
The Queen of Pop didn't disappoint as she belted out hits like Born This Way and Poker Face as part of her first electric performance in South Africa.
Lady Gaga wowed a sold out FNB stadium in Johannesburg with her electric performance last night. Her voice, energetic choreography and eccentric outfits were part of Mother Monster's first performance in South Africa.
Vancouver, Canada
Rolling Stone: Gaga absolutely pwned her temporary palace last night, and the combined electricity from Mother Monster and her audience of Little Monsters created a delicious two-and-a-half-hour extrava-Ga-Ga-ganza, both musically and visually.
Unlike Madonna, whose latest Vancouver appearance was dominated by violent imagery and a borderline bullying attitude toward her longtime fans, Gaga continued to carry her trademark message of empowerment and self-love. And in front of her giant castle she staked her claim as the queen of the pop scene once again.
Lady Gaga shows she is impossible to top in Vancouver. Lady Gaga is the best pop star of our time. Twenty-six-year-old Stefani Germanotta’s songs are wonderfully infectious, her videos are mesmerizingly artful, and her outlandish style is un****withable.
Madonna remains an obvious starting point for any discussion of Lady Gaga, but it’s still a worthy comparison. As Gaga began her first North America show, the reign of the Grand Old Dame of Pop is officially over. Madonna’s small army of collaborators still give her the advantage in that department. But in terms of performance, musicianship, vocals, charisma and most importantly, ideas, Lady Gaga has left her one-time inspiration far behind.

It's quite hilarious that the people who attended The Born This Way Ball praise her and the show, while the only criticism comes from people/fans who sit in front of their computers, by judging crappy YouTube videos and fan pics.
Another positive review. As expected

Right? I also feel like people automatically praise the Monster Ball as being better because we've had the HBO special which provided HD video. The BTW Ball has only been out for a month and most people haven't even had the time to attend.

What the audience really turned out for are the songs. The show is stacked with hits. Early highlights include Black Jesus, Bad Romance and Just Dance. Telephone, minus Beyonce, is magnificent and by the time Electric Chapel has rolled around the band are shredding like a glorious 80s LA metal act. Stay for the encore: Marry The Night is jaw dropping.
