"Someone Like You" tops 5 million mark, breaks a record
Adele also makes digital history this week. She becomes the first artist from outside the U.S. to land two 5-million-sellers. The British star achieves the feat as "Someone Like You" tops the 5 million mark. Her 2011 smash "Rolling With The Deep" has sold 7,220,000 copies.
"Tonight I'm Lovin' You," the racy 2011 smash by Enrique Iglesias featuring Ludacris & DJ Frank E, tops the 3 million mark in digital sales this week. It's the second 3 million-seller for Iglesias, following "I Like It" (featuring Pitbull), which has sold 3,749,000 copies. It's Ludacris' fourth 3 million-seller as a featured artist, following Taio Cruz's "Break Your Heart" (3,668,000), Justin Bieber's "Baby" (3,591,000) and Usher's "Yeah!" (which also featured Lil Jon, 3,443,000). The odd part? Ludacris has yet to land a 3 million-seller as a lead artist. His top-seller on which he's in the lead is his 2010 hit "How Low," which has sold 2,191,000 copies.
ďIím becoming a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I wasnít used to it before. I was thrown into a new lifestyle and everything I do is kind of filmed or photographed. Iím a private guy. I like to keep to myself. Iím shy, maybe. It gets kind of tricky for me but, Iím beginning to find the fun in it. I donít take myself too seriously so if Iím front of the camera, thatís what youíre going to get, me clowning around."(Bruno Mars)
