BIGBANG is a popular South Korean boy group under the management of YG Entertainment. Formed in 2006, BIGBANG has grown to become one of the most successful Asian acts in the world. The group consists of leader G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri. They have been labelled as the "Revolutionary Group of Korean Music Wave" for their unique urban-originated music and fashion style. The members' involvement in composing and producing their own music, most notably G-Dragon's, has earned them respect and praise from music industry experts.
On top of producing five Korean EPs and several Japanese albums, Big Bang also became the first Korean group to crack the top five on the iTunes US charts and the first group to win Worldwide Act at the MTV European Music Awards. They’ve established an unparalleled reputation in K-pop for their epically bold productions and continuous experimentation with their music and fashion

The group will not be involved in music activities with this album, but instead, they will be seeing their fans with the “Rebranding Project.” Hyundai Card has expressed the group’s growth in music and concerns they have in a new logo, BI (Brand Identity), album jacket, and music video. They also created a guidebook for the boys’ new brand.
Another project called “Re-Monster” will be launched. Many different musicians gather and re-interpret Big Bang’s “Monster” in their own way and present it to Hyundai Card Music. The company plans to release the rearranged songs officially.
The artist who makes the best “Re-Monster” arrangement will be given an opportunity to perform at the Hyundai Card Music pop store which opens on June 8 and supported to produce a digital single with it.
G-Dragon said, “We hope that many indie bands will participate in the project. We are so excited that indie musicians and other people will reinterpret our song.”
The music video for 'Monster' received over 4 million hits on YouTube only in two days of its release. The video ranked first on the Viral Video Chart, a popular British online video chart site, beating world wide rock band Coldplay
G-Dragon will release his solo album in August as well.
