America can get it wrong sometimes. This will be a classic. It's powerful and anthemic. Only GaGa.
I can already hear this being played in the Olympic montages.

Chrome commercial ***** though. But my point remains.

At this day and age, we all know everyone will celebrate their flop weddings with songs that make people laugh at each other like Party Rock Anthem and Baby.

You're saying people find TEOG a laughable novelty song instead of anthemic/inspiring?
Your delusion is adorable tbh.
EDIT: Wait you're the OP. Maybe I misunderstood. I blame your avatar.

It was the best single choice since Bad Romance and had potential to top it. However, a messy release and ****** video really destroyed any hope.
It still is a memorable song that to this day is still played often. I still hear it all the time at sports shows, reality singing shows and other competitions.

What the... NO, I was mocking those who wouldn't play something as beautiful and inspiring as The Edge of Glory at their weddings. I seem to come across a lot wedding videos lately with people shuffling to Party Flop Anthem.

I understand now(see my edit).
I thought you were saying it doesn't mean anything if TEOG becomes a wedding song, because it's not a compliment to be played alongside PRA and Baby.

Yeah, I stan for both Gaga and Madge. Maybe I should change my avi to something more mutually respected by both sides.

Considering it was the 1000th #1 single, debuted at #1, and then stayed there for 6 weeks, while winning two VMAs, and delivering a positive message that helped a lot of people, THAT song deserves to be remembered.
The Edge of Glory is a nice pop song, but nothing memorable. It's as memorable as Alejandro

It will be a classic. Who cares if the video sucked? Like anybody knows the music video for Don't Stop Believing, Sweet Caroline, etc. it's all about the music.

But BTW is horrible, yeah great message, etc but all the achievements it had were based on the massive hype it had not for being a good song.

Had it been handled correctly the song could have been bigger than it was. A shame, to be honest. It's one of her best songs and honestly better than most pop music released last year.

It's been used to promote several shows. It was even used in the SUPERBOWL. It's a classic.
