Rihanna says she is trying to ignore negative reactions
In the latest Esquire magazine Rihanna talks how she has stopped worrying about what other people think of her because she knows she can’t please everyone all of the time.
She said: “Who wants to be bashed every day of their f**king lives? That’s not fun. “Today I could eat an apple, and ten people like it and one will not. The next day I could do shots and five people will like it and five won’t. What’s important is, you never know. You can’t do it for the reaction because it’s never going to be the same. I learned to live my life with the blinders on. At one point it was so bad, it became numb for me. It was a scary place to be.”
Now when people say something negative, Rihanna tries to “decompartmentalise” her feelings.
She added to Esquire magazine:
“I completely shut off from it so much, I didn’t feel anything. I didn’t feel the good or the bad. It just didn’t matter. It was all façade. I put my guard up. It hurts when people say negative stuff but you have to decompartmentalise that. It’s not easy.”
“The attention is something I’ve learned to ignore. This is what I do. I live my life and they document it,” she said. “A lot of things I don’t care for people to know, but it just is. That’s what it’s become.”
Girl please if you stop making a fool out of yourself 80% of the negative reactions you've been getting would disappear
I kind of wish she would address this hoe situation though. I don't think all of it's true and I wish she'd call out these ****** on their BS. Ignoring the **** is sometimes bad. When you start ignoring everything and have that numbness going on, it eventually starts to eat at you and will consume your entire life. I once tried ignoring all of the **** I was going through once and I had an anxiety attack eventually.
She does know some of those reactions she set's herself up for? I understand you're young and everything but certain things are just attention seeking and you can't be mad when you get a negative backlash especially in her position.
