But that was not originally the plan. Fever was supposed to be Fever's second single, released in the winter of 2001/2002. Then Kylie had the "privileged" of having her own An Audience with Kylie TV special in the UK. She performed a few tracks off her then new album, including the title.
This one performances was so badly received that all talk of Fever being a full single was scrapped.
It is pretty off.
All the awkward faces from people in the audience. Boy George's face says it all!
To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours.
Giving You Up, Fever, The One & Get Outta My Way.
All my favorite songs are getting kicked out. Insane beats and the production in all of them is amazing. Who really cares about the lyrics with a production like that?
Team GOMW.
"The One" is the most glorious moment on X. It's not a surprise that it's crafted by Biffco and many others adore this song as well.
GOMW is not that bad, it's a lot of fun and probably the campiest track Kylie has given us this decade so far. The production is amazing. The bells, house-y piano riffs and the drum track fall perfectly into place to create a this infectious dance-pop hooray.
I don't know about M-D-N-A he is part of this blog and I can't understand his actions as well, the fake stans we have detected are madonnas and Dullenlightment,
Well, wasn't that the rumor? That Britney's people were really fighting for the track, but it ultimately went to Kylie.
At the time, I remember thinking GOMW, even with all of its cutesyness and spunk, seemed too mature for Britney. (Why? I'm not really sure what gave me that impression.) But after further consideration, I think Britney would wear it quite well. What's more, I think people would have been really receptive to it. Missed opportunity, honestly.

Oh, I had no idea.
I think the song has a Eurodisco elegance to it that's not typical Britney. But if should could do "Toxic," I don't see why she couldn't pull off "Get Outta My Way." I'll bet it would sound really good next to "Hold It Against Me."

The second single off of Rhythm of Love, Step Back in Time carried out the effects of the turning point that her previous single (which won't be seen for a WHILE) established. It was a hit, peaking in the top five in both the UK and Australia, but it didn't hit like the singles from the first two albums. Kylie was no stranger to backlash, but now her young teenage fanbase was turning against her new, sexier image - she won Worst Dressed at the 1990 Smash Hits Awards.
I was surprised myself by SBIT's high placing, as it's generally seen as the weakest single from this album. But it was truly consistent; YSL's score was the ONLY score under six that it received throughout the voting period. Nobody LOVED it, but everyone liked it. Maybe, because pop music is in the dumper right now, everyone's feeling a little bit nostalgic for yesteryear? Kylie obviously is, as she did this song at the Diamond Jubilee.
