But every since Spotify came out, the speed I've been adding new songs at has decreased

Why does my song count always seem so low compared to everyone else. Right now it's only 223 because I had to restart everything and I'm too lazy to download all the songs at once. Even before though I had less then 1,000. Do people literally download every single piece of music they hear or something? I couldn't have 2,000 songs on my itunes if I tried.

I really like getting into new music, and since most albums have 10-15 songs it's not that hard to rack up the albums.

I had 4100 songs, but then my computer crashed and I currently have 2900. Listened to most. There's some total discographys that I've downloaded and not made my way through yet.

How do you find out how many artists you have?

On the latest version of iTunes, you go to grid view (third option on the top right) and then select "Artists." The number is on the bottom.

I listen to the all the songs on youtube then decide which ones I want to download...I never really download complete albums because I know I won't like some of the songs. I guess I'm just picky or something.

I get the whole album. If i don't like something i just skip it.
