She's a country-pop singer, so of course It takes someone really special and talented to be able to break into some other markets whilst singing (AND WRITING) that sort of music.

I don't understand this site's obsession with international impact. It's good to have, but most of these other markets other than the U.S., UK, and maybe Australia, are relatively small and irrelevant.
America is the #1 country for music and just the overall most important country period, so anyone from anywhere is considered to have automatically "made it" when they succeed in the U.S. Carrie is enjoying her career, money, and family; I highly doubt she's bothered about being "local".

Maybe. But I'm from Asia and most people here know her . She's kinda known here for Jesus Take The Wheel and of course because of Idol.

Weird though that she's known here as a singer but people actually don't know her songs.

Gurl, there's a difference between TROLLING and HATING/PRESSED.

Anyway, people around the world remember her as one of the most successful Idol graduates (the other one is Kelly Clarkson). And for a Country artist, she's doing just fine. If her so-called "local" sales number could rival the "international" acts, then I see nothing's wrong with being "local" and something's wrong with the "international" ones.
This site obsession with Sales Number is just weird.

I know right. She's known here as the singer/celebrity but ask a casual listener about her songs and they'd tell you JTTW only. Shame she has a lot of amazing songs.

Who cares if she's local? She's talented and beautiful and is setting herself up to be one of the most iconic singers in country music history. She's leaving a legacy behind that most international pop girls (with double or even triple her sales) could only dream of leaving. She does very well for herself in North America, and if she never sees much success outside this continent, then so be it.
This is coming from someone who is usually pressed by Carrie because of the rivalry she has with my fave
I want to see you be brave.

For some reason, I never got the Kelly/Carrie rivalry. Both of them are amaze.
I had to get a couple of Kelly trolls together on youtube before, but most Kelly stans love Carrie and vice versa.
Beyoncé birthed King B who conquered the immortal Sasha Fierce.

yep
“I’m becoming a little more comfortable in front of the camera. I wasn’t used to it before. I was thrown into a new lifestyle and everything I do is kind of filmed or photographed. I’m a private guy. I like to keep to myself. I’m shy, maybe. It gets kind of tricky for me but, I’m beginning to find the fun in it. I don’t take myself too seriously so if I’m front of the camera, that’s what you’re going to get, me clowning around."(Bruno Mars)

She'll never compare to Queen Avril but this song is EVERYTHING Avril never managed to do after Let Go!

Yup and there's nothing wrong with it. She bleeds red, white and blue. She's a major country star. She's sold a lot more than some of your faves. Ain't nothing wrong with being local when you're successful.
