But U2 aren't technically British

In that case, the only one I can think of is Enrique Iglesias

SHM are very big in England.

Definitely.
European acts have some of the best talent out there, but due to lack of WW promotion and universal appeal they don't get any attention

BUT one good thing: they tend to be well-known and well-loved in their respective countries

She moved to the UK in the same year of her birth, I'd count her as British. She's repping her Eastern European heritage but she's still a Brit.

She's a step in the right direction though.
