Recycled songs usually gain success So you'd have to discount it for that simple fact. WBT was an original song and allowed the album to sell 10 million copies JLO just had more saturation of the media.

However, I'll have to say airplay and awards aren't Jen's problems actually.

Mariah cleary deserved all those grammys and airplay, but it sucks how Jen was so underrated in the US with her comeback. I mean she didn't even get 1 nomination at the VMA's, MTV refused to play her video OTF, despite the fact that it was the most successful song worldwide, and plenty of other things. She was really underrated that era. Radio is so fuc*ing agiest with her. If it wasn't for sales, she would never have a hit in "the US". So the comparaison is obviously unfair in terms of airplay and awards in the US.

Anyway, I like both, even though I think Jen has a bigger comeback (overall) and Mariah had a bigger comeback in the US in terms of album sales, awards , etc....

You keep clinging onto single sales. if someone buys your album after hearing a song that means you do your job. You're trying to sell you album in the end, it's the most important but if no one wants to buy it then they really don't care about you at all.
