"Ur So Gay" is a song released by pop singer Katy Perry, produced by Greg Wells and engineered by Drew Pearson. The song was Perry's first major label release, and was later placed on her major label album, One of the Boys.

Capitol Records offered the song as a free download on their website. The song failed to enter the Billboard Hot 100.

3. Despite this and her promiscuous photoshoots, the artist herself is a self proclaimed, strongly devout Christian. She later publicly criticized Lady Gaga for her Alejandro video, writing "Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."

This song is poking fun at her ex boyfriend and she called him a metrosexual. THAT'S IT. IKAG was released cause it's produced by Dr. Luke.

this is just gonna cause a fight between the monster and the Kats. anyway,capitol released the first two because they knew it was gonna cause some controversy and attention(ur so gay and katy being mentioned by madonna) and IKAG content and catchiness causing worldwide phenomena.

Ur So Gay is good, i don't think she's lying, usually gays take care more about their clothes, their looks than a straight man... so the song is just fun, i don't think it has anything negative.

I never really got what was so awful about it. She's not saying that being gay is bad. She's not using "gay" as in stupid. She's just saying that she doesn't want to date someone who acts like a stereotypically gay guy. What's wrong with that?

One of my favorite tracks on the album tbh. She slayed it on MTV Unplugged too.

I don' t think the Alejandro criticism had anything to do with Katy's beliefs. Gaga was hotter than hot at that time and Katy was probably a bit resentful of her massive success. The world was basically watching her every move.

Allie...girl...it was quite hypocritical of her to go talk about that and a few months later pose with a bunch of crosses around her while being naked.
