While listening to the majestic 'I Care' this morning, I couldn't help but wonder how different the albums reception would have been if it was the long awaited reunion album from the MEGA-TRIO of Destiny's Child. While there are cuts like 'End Of Time', 'Countdown', and 'Run The World' which caters to Bey's hypnotic vocals, it's without doubt that the albums main gems 'I Care', 'I Miss You', 'Rather Die Young' & 'Love On Top' would have been perfect for the trio. I mean, can we get into the harmonies of 'Party' featuring Kelly & Michelle. Anywho....your thoughts? Would '4' have been more successful as a DC reunion album?






P.S. I posted under "poll" but I am unsure as to how to generate one so we'll see how this goes.

I think it would have, its just that the lead single of RTW really wasn't the greatest.

It also would have attracted each fanbase of the individual girls.

If EOT or CD was the lead single ... 4 would have SMASHED.

But "4" will remain one of my favorite albums of 2011.

The quality would've been less had it been a DC album but the reception would've been greater because of anticipation and the fact that ppl expect an r&b album from DC whereas they expected a contemporary r&b album from Bey. This probably would've been a great era with DC.

R&B music isn't hot anymore. The album would have underperformed regardless of the artist

I think the only song that could've smashed was End Of Time. A lot of the songs did not cater to the radio and beyoncé said that herself when she released it. I guess IASF was a radio album making 4 more personal, but it's sold over 2 million, debuted at #1 and has had a good general worldwide reception. I do think it would've been MORE successful with a tour, but then again she couldn't help giving birth

and no i don't think it would have been more successful. the era would be more successful with better planning and single releases.
