This thread is a complete mess, just end this discussion once and for all. It's ludicrous to even suggest she's a queen of ANYTHING but digital sales and tour revenue so soon in her career. For all I know, she might end up fading away in 3-4 years.

And yes, this is a Taylor fan talking. I am not delusional, Taylor Swift may have enjoyed tons of success but to compare her to people that have been doing this for over 50 years is funny as hell...taking a whole difference approach but similar styles, that's like comparing Gordon Ramsay to Jamie Oliver when it comes to chefs. Jamie makes more money, but in terms of experience, Ramsey completely blows him away.

I rest my case.

P.S. And Carrie over Taylor? That's a Nigella Lawson if I ever saw one. Carrie has beautiful presentation skills (hence, she can sing amazingly live). Apart from that, in terms of discography she doesn't live up to Taylor's success as a whole.

Why do you keep bringing up the UK as this land which makes you some worldwide star I guess it'd be better for her to just smash the UK and forget all of Asia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Norway, and Ireland. Besides these she just recently started having some success in Brazil so she is hardly local. It might not be the UK and I'd be lieing if I said I didn't want the 2nd biggest music market to be fans of her but its only a small part of the globe and she has expanded into markets that Dolly or Shania never did so I can't really complain. Now she is not on the level of big pop stars but she has more success than many other country stars bar Dolly or Shania

Gurl UK is not the world. Taylor got her highest certification yet from the Philippines for fearless (9x platinum) which is in Asia. She's the only solo act to ever get that in that country. That same album was certified 5xp in AU, 4xp in CA 2xp in Ireland and NZ, gold in Japan, Norway and Russia and even platinum in UK . This achievements for a country artist that you said was local in your previous posts are something. I won't give you the receipts for SN because I'm too lazy to type right now.

I can't argue that she's still not in the league with Parton and Twain because she really isn't.
But let's not. Especially your last paragraph. When the next album comes out let's talk again okay?

Well at least you have admitted she isn't the queen of country and there are other bigger icons. UK is an important market and you can't be considered the true queen unless you have smashed there. Same way I wouldn't proclaim Adele the biggest star on earth at the moment if she hadn't conquered the US market.

Relatively speaking Taylor is local compared to other current stars like Adele, Gaga, Rihanna, Britney, Beyonce, Katy and Avril. She is certainly the least famous of all these. This is true whether you like it or not.
