That was at the time the second fastest song to pass two million, after Right Round. It also sold over 300k in four different weeks. At the time, it was only one of two songs to do that, the other being Right Round again. [3] For both of those feats she was the only female artist to do so. It debuted at #1 in the UK with sales of 123,607, which was the highest first week sales in the UK that year by a solo artist. It was the best selling song in Canada [4], the US [5], and worldwide [6].( note that the sources have different measurement techniques) It debuted at #1 in Canada and stayed their for nine weeks. This song is underrated. It's turned into my second favorite Katy song over LFN. It's aged really well.
I'm the opposite, this song has aged so poorly for me. I don't know why but I just cannot stand it anymore. God knows it was overplayed to the high heavens so maybe its that. But damn did I bop my head to it in my little car over the summer, blasting it so all the other losers stopped at the red light could enjoy my summer anthem.

I don't know why this song hasn't thrived outside of Summer 2010. Probably her 2nd best song, ever. Snoop Dogg takes this song to another level -- his work on the track is vastly underrated.
