The Dark Knight Rises opening weekend?
Now that The Avengers smashed all of the predictions and topped $200 million, what will The Dark Knight Rises be able to muster? It's easily the most-hyped movie of the last several years in the United States, but how much can it do without the 3D fluff?

I don't think it'll beat Avengers without 3-D to be honest. It'll be close though.
I think 180-190.

I'm going with $170M - $180M. And that would still be f'cking impressive since there's no 3D.
Warner Bros better have HUGE promo for this.

I think it'll find a way to top The Avengers, even without 3D. The average ticket price has gone up since The Dark Knight, and the hype is unimaginable. I read something the other day about how The Dark Knight Rises got more publicity from The Avengers release than the movie itself did. 3D does make it hard as ****, though.

It's not going to do anywhere near Avengers.
170 - 180 is my answer.

LOTS of money.
I'm not really an expert on this stud, but probably close to $200 M. The hype for this one is unreal.

The hype really is extremely huge.
"Midnight tickets for The Dark Knight Rises, the latest Batman film by Christopher Nolan, have already sold out- some 6 months before the movie is officially released. Fans have already snapped up the entire batch of tickets for the New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco midnight screenings of the movie on July 20, 2012."

Yep.
Though it's good that the trailer was attached to TA.

Every single trailer released for it shatters viewing records. I'm pretty sure Apple said its latest trailer got 10x as many views as the previous record holder within 24 hours.

I honestly didn't realize there was such huge hype for it. I haven't heard much about it, personally.
How much did TDK do? Add 35M and that's my prediction. If it's as good as the first I'd love for it to break the record, though.
