Yes I could see Rihanna singing this, but Nelly is not trying to copy Rih - she has always had that raw kind of tone to her voice. And Nelly was around wayyy before Rihanna tbh.

Im not talking about the tone of her voice.
Her accent sounds too much like Rihanna's in this song.

I love most of Nelly's songs but she i dont think i've ever heard of her singing this way with THAT accent.

You can't deny that this song has a lot of Rihanna vibe. This is probably the only track from Nelly where her vocals are so different. But I agree that her tone/accent in Big hoops is also similar to say Maneater.
