You tried, but no one is stupid enough to purposefully drum up beef with the exact same nemesis as Nicki has. Azealia absolutely has a great team at Interscope, and of course there are far more adventitious ways to accomplish promotion than to fake a feud with Kim.

What tactics?

1. Kim reaches out to Azealia for a collab, Azealia tweets excitedly about it
2. Kim's team asks for a reference verse from Azealia
3. Azealia complies and sends them just that.
4. They send back a rude email for Azealia writing a verse for Kim, even though Kim said she wanted to the collab, even though it was horrible, even though Azealia and Kim have never spoken and have no contact with each other.

No amount of tactics in the world could force her management to contradict themselves like that. Azealia is a mind-control genius if this is just "tactics."

And besides, unlike Kim's team, her team has better promotional avenues than this.

It is a possibility though. Kim's legacy already came out tarnished after her feud with Nicki. If Azealia started with her, obviously from past experience Kim will be shown as the big bad wolf (also considering the fact that Azealia "expressed" love for Kim on Twitter). At the end of the day I think it's all politics, to end Kim's career once and for all.
