She's back, i totally love the song!
Ashlee Simpson was the youngest girl to be accepted in the Americal School of Ballet with eleven years. Ashlee was the first Simpson sisters to appear on TV Shows and movies like Malcolm in the Middle, 7th Heaven and The Hot Chick. Then she decided to try in the music business and today she's a Multiplatinum star with Autobiography (3x Platinum), I Am Me (Platinum) and her critical acclaimed Bittersweet World. Also she had a # 1 single on mainstream, and in Billboard Pop Songs along with the top 5 on Billboard Hot 100 and 2 # 1's albums in Billboard 200, After the boom of her music career Simpson cited some influences like Blondie, The Pretenders, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, The Runaways, Green Day, Alanis Morissette. Simpson trains with a vocal coach, and studies old Etta James and Aretha Franklin albums for vocal inspiration. Simpson was face of Skechers shoes like pop superstars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera..And the story keeps going on

I'm wondering Alanis could make some sort of comeback. Not that she needs it and I'm sure she doesn't strive for it, but it would be cool for her to have some sort of resurgence. I know that probably won't happen, though.

I think an Alanis comeback would be awesome! Perfect time for it, now that alternative songs are ruling the charts! I can see a Hot AC smash with Guardian, maybe to the level of Christina Perri or someone

That would be great! I'm just worried that ageism on radio will make it difficult for her to get radio play, at least on Top 40. She deserves another successful era!

I would love for her to come back full-force. But one of the things I admire about her is that she's progressed musically without giving that much importance to commercial success. You can really see her growing through the progression of her albums.
Take JLP, the angsty post-breakup album, then SCC and struggling with all of her insecurities, to FOE which is also a post-breakup album but with a more mature twist. I'm really anxious to see how motherhood has affected her musically.

Such a bland, plodding song. People who are saying this is close to her JLP work are really stretching credibility.

I find the track ' Magical Child' much more interesting than this. I agree about the bland comment above.

I actually like this song a lot. It's very spiritual and I can easily relate to it

Yes. I do like the concept, don't get me wrong. But, structurally and melodically it is boring.

Exactly. Musically speaking it's deathly dull.

I said the sound was the closest she's gotten to her JLP work.. I said nothing about quality.

And that's still false.
These things we do to keep the flame burning
And write our fire in the sky
Another day to see the wheel turning
Another avenue to try
