The BR choreography didn't have quite as much of a widespread appeal as other choreos did, but it was popular nonetheless –– a lot of kids at my high school got into it. You're A Jerk was big at my high school fall of 2009.

I just don't get why people want to make sense of the world. At the end of the day, we are all living on some random rock in the middle of a big black darkness which we know nothing about. It is pretty much a lost cause. Don't agonise over it...just enjoy life!

Yes it did. Thriller is still replicated still this day. Most people cant even moonwalk properly but I bet they can slay Thriller choreo, I remember seeing an article about Thriller being the most pop song on his Wii Game too.
