LUKE EVANS OFFERED VILLAIN ROLE IN FAST SIX

Contrary to reports, Rihanna is not going to star as “a sexy bad girl” in the sixth installment of the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise. Her publicist told MTV News, “As far as I’m aware this is not true.” However, several actors are in the running to play the villain in Justin Lin’s ‘Fast Six’ project.

According to Twitchfilm, actor Luke Evans is among those being offered the villainous role, that was originally slated for action star Jason Statham. The Welsh-born thespian has already appeared in a number of action-adventure films including ‘Robin Hood’ and ‘Clash of the Titans.’ He’s currently shooting the eagerly anticipated movie ‘The Hobbit’ with filmmaker Peter Jackson.

From Immortals to The Raven to The Hobbit to Fast Six? It's looking like that sort of year for Luke Evans. The Welsh born actor was already having the sort of year that most can only hope for and it may have just gotten better with word that the villain role in Justin Lin's Fast Six - the role that had previously been earmarked for Jason Statham - has just been offered to Evans instead.

Going from one UK actor to another will only further spark speculation that the increasingly global franchise is headed to Europe - if not the UK itself - next.

Note that while this is only an offer at this point Evans has only one upcoming project listed on the IMDB, so scheduling would certainly not appear to be an issue.

I was looking forward to her being in it. It actually seemed tailor-made for her: a sexy villain role in a movie that doesn't demand too much acting and is more dependent on its multi-ethnic cast looking hot and badass.

And lol @ dying franchise when the last one grossed a series-high $626,137,675 and is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with the series' best reviews.
