I don't know. Maybe because I think she has this Katy Perry feel to her music and personality. I enjoy KP but if i don't see myself stanning for her either and hence I wouldn't even consider Jessie J. She was interesting with Do it like a dude, then she went onto releasing Price Tag to get a hit followed by a re-release with Dr.Luke that is Domino to replicate Katy's success to an extent. I mean she could have chosen a path to stand out but she let the generic path get to her first.
Laserlight didn't help things either. But who knows, she might step up her game with her second effort?
Just not my cup of tea. I can just tell.
Oh I stan for Katy Perry, she is my favourite I quite liked Laserlight Oh well, fair enough!
I've seen Jessie in concert and she's completely full of personality that some of y'all think she lacks. She's a big kid at heart, honestly. She started jogging around the stage and was talking to the audience and explaining that she likes to do one stupid thing every day.
She treasures her fans. She saw a stan in the front row and sung a couple of lines of a ballad directly to him. It was really nice to see.
Her songs are 100% trash. Her singing is awful. Her hair is annoying.
Nobody's Perfect was the worst single of 2011. She's ripped off Sia for DUST in LaserLight. Those catsuits need to go back to where they belong- a bargain bin in a 1980s Walmart. She hasn't sang a note in her life that's not been horribly oversung. She's probably one of the very few popstars I can say I actively dislike.
She's not so much 'not stannable' as more 'not not hateable'.
as for why wouldnt i stan for her - One i think her voice is terrible, some call it unique but i just think shes a really bad vocalist, on par with xtina when it comes to oversinging. 2 her music is just, not even music. Her album feels like its just trying to showcase her vocals in each track instead of trying to make good music and it just doesnt work. it was an incredible chore to get through her album on first listen. 3 her face scares me
She has a "voice" but she's too much of a screamer (like most girls from the 00s). I like that "Price Tag" song yet the whole "empowerment song" is just too much. With P!nk & Katy, it's already difficult enough for our ears but now it seems they blended the two products in order to create Jessie and it's a bit sad. "Do It Like A Dude" was cool too, come to think of it.
