Am going to see The Avengers tonight.
It all depends on whether Batman lives up to expectations. Spiderman is coming third, that much is obvious.

Tough call. Do we think that there has been too much time between the 2nd Batman and 3rd Batman movie, seeing as the second was so successful back in '07? If it had followed up maybe in '09 and still had Ledger, I think it tops the sequel. However, comparing the other two movies, I still believe TDKR will be the top ticket.
Quality over TDKR. I doubt it. Nolan is too good.

Spider Man is coming in third and I have this weird feeling it is going to flop hard. The Dark Knight Rises is my pick to come out on top but it will be close

I think The Avengers will sell the most, then The Dark Knight Rises second and The Amazing Spiderman third.

I have. Perhaps I'm biased. I prefer the other two Super Hero characters over ANYONE in the Avengers ( Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man being the exception) and I feel that cramming in ALL those characters into one movie more often than not takes away from the story and substitutes star power instead. The reviews look good, I will agree, so perhaps I will be corrected.

They do an excellent job of devoliping each character and giving them their own importance, none of them feel thrown in or overshadowed ! You'll jave to watch it to see

Spider-Man is nowhere close.

The Dark Knight will benefit from opening at the tail-end of Summer, when there are less huge tentpoles to compete with, but mid-week grosses are still strong.
Wouldn't it be funny if after all that hype, Scarjo stole Anne Hathaway's Catwoman thunder?

Cuz he didn't want Venom in the movie. But Sony did. And after a lot of back and forth, Sony shipped a Venom costume on set when they'd already started filming and said like it or not, Venom's in the movie.

For this particular style of movie. You could argue that. His line of work is definitely geared for it. However Nolan has done wonders with this franchise.

Oh, I know he disliked Venom and didn't want the character. But he essentially took a dump on the black symbiote story arc, almost out of spite I felt.
Exhibit A.
