"Lost in the Echo" and "Powerless" should be the next two singles. I'm gonna let this album grow on me, but I nearly fell asleep listening to it.

"Waiting for the End" is probably a legit top ten (and maybe even top five) LP song, so I won't complain too much about that statement, but LOATR is probably middle of the pack for LP.

So I finally decided that I'm going to sit down and listen to this damn album. Let's see how it goes.

"Lost in the Echo" immediately stands out, but that's to be expected, given how many people have liked the song. I actually liked "In My Remains" more on first listen, though, as well as "Castle of Glass" and "Victimized". My favorite song is "Powerless", though. Jesus, what a song. I hope that is released as an official single.

I'm not sure how I feel about this album. I like it more on the first listen than I liked MTM and ATS on first listens, but I won't be sure about HOW good the album is until I go back and listen to it again.

in my remains is one of the standouts of the album for me, along with the obvious COG and LITE

i see no one praising the awesomeness that is burn it down.... i wish it were doing better!

The problem is that there are so many good songs on this album. If it wasn't for its first single status, "Burn It Down" would have gotten lost in the shuffle very easily. I'd even goes as far as to say that it's one of my least favorite songs on the album...and I quite like the song, so that's really more of a testament to the quality of Living Things than a slight to "Burn It Down".
