This is completely standard. Like any show, SNL occasionally reruns episodes throughout the year. Just because a musical guest was bad (e.g. Ashlee Simpson), it doesn't mean the episode is left out of the repeat rotation. And considering that all the buzz around Lana Del Rey has pretty much died by now, this might actually help to remind the general public that she still exists.

I watched it once but have no inclination to watch it again, lol. I think posters on here from the States tend to get a skewed view of Lana's popularity - she's very popular in many countries in the World and iirc is currently at #2 in Mediatraffic's ww album chart. She doesn't necessarily need the US to come on board but it would be nice. Can't see this news helping, though, lol.
