The majority of the members on those type of sites are hipsters and rock snubs, so I'm not surprised at all.
One could hope they could set apart the music from the actual quality of the film, but they don't have that level of maturity.

This movie is kind of an extremist one talking about IMDB rating because there are 45.2% of users who rated it with a 10, and most of them are teenage girls who rated it like that just because they like the music, instead of the quality of the film as you said.

Mixed review from "The Mirror"

Although I found myself sobbing alongside the singer, Katy Perry’s 3D documentary was too one sided for my liking

Positive from "Digital Spy"

It's a classic rags-to-riches tale that is both endearing and fascinating

The film is cleverly constructed

Whether you are a fan of Katy Perry's music or not, Part of Me 3D offers a captivating glimpse into a superstar's life with fun and heart-rending honesty, that rarely feels contrived.

Positive Review from "Take 40"

We were lucky enough to be invited to a preview screening of Katy Perry's new movie 'Part Of Me' in 3D, and we loved every minute of what we saw!

The movie was set in one of her extravagant concerts, with each song performed correlating to a moment in Katy's life. The film was set mainly throughout 2011, but contained lots of vintage footage which we adored!

This is chance to see Katy as we've never really seen before, as a baby and through her transition as gospel and spiritual singer to pop superstar extraordinaire!

I'm dying to see that scene before the Brazil show. Everyone seems amazed at how she was able to pull herself together and still perform

Okay. I just got back from seeing it, and I must say, it was amazing. It was better than I had expected.
The concert part of it was terrifically done. the camera work was brilliant, and the 3D effect just made it even more better. it actually felt like you were there, front row. they did a GREAT job adding the 3D to this.
I wish I could just re-live the concert once again. It shows me how really good the concert was when I did go back early last year.
and Katy Perry might I say looks fantastic as in 3D. Her legs.
And with each song which was performed, you could see how it related to her life.
I almost cried when it came to the divorce part of it. You could really see where the cracks began to appear in the relationship as they showed her not being happy with how much time apart she had to spend away from him during the concert period. When she was in Brazil and she just broke down crying, it just made me heart break for her. It brought a tear to my eye.
I got chills down my spine when the crowd in Brazil began to chant 'We Love You Katy Perry'. oh god, and when she began to get teary from it. They really did love her.
but what really got me was when she was interviewing with the camerman a little after the divorce and he asked her 'you miss him don't you' and she replied with 'yes I do miss him' and tried to hold back the tears but then began to cry, that was just too much for me.
Seeing the insight into her and her fans was just so adorable. people who say she doesn't even care about her fans, lol. it clearly showed she has a strong connection to her fans.
It really just made me love her more than I already do. I'm deffos seeing it again.

Jessie J and Adele appeared praising her about the 5 number ones from the Album.
Rihanna was in there and said a short word about her.
The small encounter backstage with Katy and Gaga where Gaga said she was happy for her but Katy couldn't see her face.
and you just saw Katy Perry hugging Justin Bieber.

Based on the review, I think it's a good movie. Good for her, though.
