I think it's quite noble of Carrie to risk public backlash in order to stand by her morals.
I wish you would look past the conservative aura around how "wrong" gay marriage is. I'm not going to turn this into a debate, but it's absolutely absurd that we still have a younger generation advocating to eliminate equal rights.
Be who you are, say what you feel,
because those who mind, don't matter,
and those who matter, don't mind

A lot that celebrities do behind closed doors would be shocking to fans. They don't ask to be role models. They aren't the voice of this or that cause unless they choose to be. Carrie's pageanty good girl look is all a big formula to keep her image steady since it works so well. Country music isn't as open as pop when it comes to controversy. Just ask LeAnn Rimes... but choosing to take a stance on a hot button topic is a great thing for her to do as long as she really feels that way. Things like this will get her in the news and grab a whole new audiences attention, which I'm sure is what the label wants.

After Carrie married Mike, I think she started to speak out for so many things lol
Yeah, I'm a bit conservative.
Carrie's look definitely is a bit of formula, it's Carrie, but still just a look. You may find me stupid because of what I am going to say, but I think everybody should be neutral about this.
But you're right, Carrie will definitely gain more fans than will lose fans.

I get your point, but I really don't understand why several people - not talking about you - treat beliefs or moral issues as fads. It's like: Please, it's 2012, you have to be modern. I mean, I have to believe and support what everybody is supporting right now? It's not like I have to follow the masses. My point of view is my point of view and I'm not hurting anyone with it, just like gays are not hurting me. So you will probably ask: Gay marriage won't hurt you either. And I answer: Yes, but I believe it's wrong. I was taught that way and I still believe in it.
Lemme come out for you guys. I'm a bit bisexual. Since I was a child, I always knew when a guy was handsome and I never understood that. When I was 11/12, I started to like men, but not as much as I like women. I kind of had a gay relationship, it was very short, but that's it. I like men a bit, but I can't stand it. I can't do it. I can only think about having a gay relationship. On the other hand, women seem so much more natural to me and I'm very happy when I'm with a girl. That does not happen with men.
I can't believe I said this

I applaud you. While I'm not that religious, and hence I don't understand the ****-storm this whole issue has created, I can totally respect your beliefs and stance on the subject. The guy on CF who wrote the open letter, preaching and basically crucified Carrie for "sinning" annoyed me immensely. He made it seem like Carrie's a horrible Christian and person for having an opinion Please, you can't sing "How Great Thou Art" like that without being close to God
We all here share at least one thing in common - our love for Carrie and her music. Lets just keep supporting her like we always have.

Yeah, I don't think people should go that far. Just share your opinion politely and drop it. No need to say anything else.
This whole issue changed some opinions of mine about certain things. And definitely, that GNO performance I always get goosebumps all over my body
Yeah, I'll never give up on Carrie queen

Change of subject, I was listening to Do You Think About Me and I think it is a spring smash waiting to happen, such soft vocals and just a really cute song.

There's so many potential singles on this album.
I can even see Nobody Ever Told You doing well.

So did the hicks in Alabama come after Carrie yet? It's one thing to be Gaga, Britney, & Ke$ha but I know Underwood has a different constituency. Those Christian wing-nuts in the Bible-belt are probably pissed at her.

We were hoping to learn this today, but it wasn't in the mediabase update, but next week we should know for sure... and that doesn't mean we can't find out from other sources, like stations.

I'm proud of Good Girl for making it to #1 on Country. Blown Away will definitely do the same. Good Girl deserved to be at least Top 10 on the Hot 100 though. Hopefully Blown Away will make up for that.
By the way, is this the official cover for the single? I think it looks amazing.
