On iTunes:
Right click the song, click "Get Info", go to the Options Tab, set the start and end time of what you want to keep of the song, click "Ok", then right click the song again and click "Get AAC version", this makes a new song splitting off undesired parts.

I agree about the beat overshadowing her a lot. Luckily she's young and has time to learn, grow, and hone her skills. Sometimes I listen to her and I'm like "I don't know what the **** she's saying but this is hoooot!" It's not until later when I read the lyrics that I can say I completely understand her, love what she's saying, AND love the beat.
