An 11th/12th grade teacher I had twice. Won't say how that happened but it did. Anyway, she was and is always there for me. We talked about everything and we still do, lol. When I joined the track team she bought me some spikes. She's a really good friend of mine now.
A 7th grade teacher I had was really encouraging and treated me like a son, even tho he was only about 25. He always pushed me forward. Math was getting really hard for me around that time, but he broke it down and got me to understand it so easily. We're friends now, but we don't always stay in touch.
My 11th grade English teacher really liked the way I wrote so it was really easy to get along with him, lol. He was another encouraging teacher and his class was never boring. He let me borrow any of the books on his shelves. It's because of him that I got into Harry Potter. Years late, but it's better than never. His class also renewed my interest in books.
My 12th grade English teacher always had new material and I loved that. She was another one who enjoyed my writing. She wanted me to pursue a career in journalism. She never gave up on me... I remember on the last day of the week of full classes before finals began, she told me I was one of her best students and she gave me a hug. She was asking me what my plans for the future are and all I could say was I don't know. She said something like, "you'll make it." I can't really remember.
So, those are the four greatest teachers I've ever had. My English professor from last semester was amazing as well. I don't feel like typing anymore, tho, lol.
What are the qualities of your "favorite" student? I'm "the smart" person in the class but I don't know how to stand out. Any advice ( and what you like/ dislike in a student ) would be appreciated!
I'm learning lessons to make mistakes
. . .If I get burned, no embers break.
You told me I'm my destiny
. . . While your power gets the best of me..
Repeatedly, I get neglected.
. . .You claim that I am unperfected..
