Do you guys think Gaga needs to be tamed down a little by her label? During the BTW era she seems to have had her complete freedom to do what she wanted with the era with the backing of her label, while she won some she also (undeniably) lost some.

Do you think next time around Gaga should be given similar freedom or should Interscope step in and take control of some of Gaga's decision for her own good but not completely take away her artistic vision?

I think they took control back with TEOG tbh but i'm not sure so who knows. And honestly I don't think she ever TRULY had full control, just enough to keep her and the label happy is fine enough with me.

Some of the tracks on Born This Way would have been off the tracklist if Interscope had more control. Look where it ended up...a messy era.

Of course not I rather she had her artistic vision but at the same time Interscope should say no to some things after all that's their job. Like the singles this era, I'm going to go ahead and presume Gaga wanted to release those singles in that order so they allowed her to I rather they stepped in and said no Gaga you can't release Judas you're just hot off Madonna comparisons from Alejandro and Born This Way instead release The Edge of Glory or Marry The Night this will continue the success the era already has. Judas puts the entire era at risk it would be better to wait it out and make it a single later on in the era.

I don't think they would have been off the track list but Judas would have never been a single that's for sure

Let's be honest though I agree with everything you're saying but I don't think they predicted the backlash of Judas. They thought that she was going to be HUGE this era, their prediction for her total BTW album sales was more than Adele has right now. So honestly I think they all had set their expectations too high. Interscope should definitely have some control of her, there's a reason why she has them and she should take advantage and lean back for some support here and there.
