Well that could make it sort of interesting too.
But I mean, if we counted features at all Ke$ha would have 9 consecutive top tens... I'm not sure many people would like that. Especially since that would put her in a position to threaten Gaga and Mariah for the most from debut, though that record isn't one listed here.

U can't include duets if u talkin lead solo artist. Janet loses two songs. Either omit these two songs or change the title to justify their existence.
Anyhoo I knew Madonna was in da lead with Miss Jackson, true hit makers, u children should bow to these queens. Current acts don't hold up to these ladies.
Into the groove never released as a single, b side to Angel vinyl edition.

It's played all the time on classic hits stations and relatively frequently on top 40 stations - it's her most played recurrent song on US radio. She really should have released it in the US.

Back then a song was only considered a single if it got a physical release. Songs that were just sent to the radio were just considered promo singles. It's the opposite now.

I included Janet's two duets because they ended up on a Janet album.
Plus, she accredited as a duet, which for all intents and purposes of this thread should mean that both artists get categorized as "lead artist". Billboard agrees.

All I Want is an exception, it really didn't flop, it has more longevity than any song that went to #1. Its one of the all time biggest hits.

Yea, I guess "flop" is a misnomer for that song.
Anyways, BUMP for Ke$ha.

Katy is coming to overtake Gaga and Mariah on the Top 10 chat. There's almost no way her first two singles don't do top 10.
She'll probably beat out Janet for the Top 5 record too.

I'd like to point out that in the US, Madonna's "Borderline" was released before "Lucky Star". "Borderline" peaked on June 16, 1984, while "Lucky Star" peaked on October 20, 1984. Therefore she has 16 consecutive top 5 hits.
