This is for a paper, so as much help you can give is greatly appreciated.

There have been many arguements that science and religion are highly imcompatible, for the simple reason being science is "composed of facts" and religion is based upon faith and beliefs. But if you think about it, isnt a scientist relying on his belief and faith that his theory is correct? I don't think religon can be boxed in to simply being about worshipping a "God" , or that a god is responsible for the creation of us and the world we live in, but something spritual as well, like some sort of higher power controlling everything, including us and the world we live in. Darwin's theory of evolution is sciences like, stamp on everything I know, but when you think about his theory, how did all of it come about? who was responsible for the process? How and when was the first ancestor created to carry out the process? Like, can the creation of the universe and everything be confined to the ideas of man? I mean, isnt religion somewhat a factor in scientific ideas?

Help. I know my ideas are all over the place, but....I gotta be on the right track.

mean that the theory of evolution is wrong and vice versa.

I had to do this in my Philosophy class last year, I can't remember what argument it was, but there was evidence that argues that both can co-exist.

But that's basically my answer tho. No. If religion can stay in the lane of spirituality then yes, but science is gonna keep knocking "religion" back. I think even religions have had to change their "interpretations" on certain issues because going against it would be stupid.

I wouldn't be surprised if in a couple years (decades) the Vatican encourages contraception.

Science is based on observation, research, and proof.

Religion is based on faith, there is no evidence for a diety of any sort.

Of course they can, and they do.

What many people fail to acknowledge is that science in itself is just a "best guess". Atomic theory, for example, is at the basis of so many other theories, but has anyone actually seen an atom? No, but experiments were done and the evidence collected suggests they exist. That's not to say that they do exist for sure.

There is no way you can prove something that you'll only know after death.. And unless these scientist have magically discovered a way to die, lurk around and come back, it's all a guessing game.
