You're really confusing me. But I'm done here and I'm going to continue to donate to IC. I would appreciate it if you showed me the way to other organizations helping in this cause so I could donate to them too instead of criticizing the only one that is actually getting the problem out their so people know about it and do something to help.

I don't have a page of other charities. Look for them yourself. All I can tell you is IC isn't the way to go.

Wait, did anyone else stop reading when the article stated "this movement needs aid and finance, not awareness". That is exactly the opposite of what this needs. This charity has focused their money on films because they need to create awareness. They tried to do this on their own for years. They realise that they cannot and instead are spending money on creating mass awareness. Was it successful? Yes. Will this pressure governments into taking action? Yes.
How will money and aid stop a man from kidnapping children? This needs U.N. intervention and it needs physical force. This article states it's morally wrong for them to supporty military force, yet what other way can you stop a man with an army? By praying to God? Please. This organisation is using the funds effectively, and are using modern resources to raise awareness about an issue that has been ignored for 26 years.
Stop buying into these silly articles. It's normal for people to suddenly go against a group they never heard of until yesterday? I have been following IC for 5 years now, and their work is excellent and they are all very dedicated and care a lot about the cause. They are trying their absolute best to resolve this issue. This movement is effective and is going to bring Kony down. Look at the amount of hype it has already caused? It's all over the news. How can you say buying into this organisation is a bad thing when it's bringing awareness to such an important issue?

Am I the only one who sees the issue of attacking Kony with military force when he has the Kids they're trying to save holding guns and fighting for him?
Surely there's only one outcome in a US Soilders Vs Kids with Guns battle.

Why is the fact they have 11 other documentaries even relevant? Clearly they needed to keep making more until they were able to create impact.
Now that they have, who are you to say that they will keep pissing away money on promotional material?

Yes, and they say they cannot fund any movements until public support is in great demand. Do your research. I have been following this story for 5 years now.

You're acting as if Kony hasn't been on the radar until now.

That's a convenient excuse considering the CEO of IC makes 90k a year. This doesn't even include the additional costs like transportation or the production of movies.
90,000 a year. 90,000.

So yeah, basically do nothing as of now because we don't know the names of other charities that may or may not exist. I don't follow.

Unfortunately, for a lot of people - he was. They had no idea this existed or that this was even a problem.
I do actually understand your point of view. Military intervention will result in the direct loss of innocent lives. But without it, what can be done? This situation is escalating... are discussions of peace even possible at this point?

I wrote a post about this earlier and got people jumping on my back, let them go in blind.
It is nice to know someone does their homework though.

Okay, great. Now they know who he is. Is that going to stop Kony? No. Will stopping Kony do much at all? No.
Discussions of peace have occurred previously.

It's a guilty conscience thing they're using on people, and it seems to be working.

The IC didn't make that excuse. You see a U.S. government official saying that on video in their current promo video. You're starting to embarrass yourself
Ok 90 k is a lot of money, but they travel to and from Africa all the time and they need to support their family etc. They dedicated their lives to fighting for this country, they deserve to have paid working hours. What is your issue with the staff there getting salaries? I mean they work hard and do their jobs right. They're working for a great cause.
You clearly are just looking at fact sheets and not using any brainpower or previous knowledge of this organisation. Yes, let's stop supporting the one charity that is actually making a difference. Paid staff = quality control. Do you think a bunch of people volunteering would cause this much hype? No. This needs professionals who are hired to do this ****. Are you saying that is wrong for the sake of saving thousands of Children in Uganda? Or do you want people to work for free? Because who does that?
