How Femme Fatale should've been.
Idk about you guys, but I'm still seething that they didn't push the right singles to make Femme Fatale at least do "Teenage Dream" numbers. I mean, ending the era with Criminal?
So with that said, which singles should've been released and in which order.
I say: HIAM to introduce the style of the album.
TTWE for that huge pop smash.
BFB for that even bigger smash.
Inside Out for that crossover/dubstep smash.
IWG to slay the hell out of radios.
Up n Down to end the era on a high note.

Kanye West. Sam Sparro. Adam Lambert. Scissor Sisters. Beyonce.

Big Fat Bass is a Big Fat Mess. It sucks, and I would loathe Britney for releasing it.
it does not matter how slow you go as long as you’re not in front of me

BFB as the 3rd single?
IWG was perfect, it had a great summer vibe.
HIAM (with proper promotion and them not releasing the video as late as they did)
TTWE
IWG
Inside Out
Up n Down
BRITNEY

The era and music itself was fine, it was promotion that was the problem.

HIAM and TTWE were good where they were.
I Wanna Go was a good choice as third single.
Then a radio edit of BFB.
Trouble For Me (remixed, featuring Jason Derulö) should have been fifth.
End it with Up N Down.

Singles 1-3 of the Femme Fatale era were fine. HIAM and Criminal only dropped like a rock because they went un-promoted and their music videos were ineffective (HIAM sucked, Criminal was restricted)
Single 4: Inside Out
Single 5: Up N Down
[/end era]

If the radio would actually play ballads, Criminal would have smashed.

I mean I'm just sat over here having my breakfast, and suddenly the horrid caterwauling of So What starts blaring through a phone. A stereotypical mess. All her stans are dikes, Australians, and Australian dikes.

Someone Like You smashed right after Criminal. Best Thing I Never Had was a decent hit.
Criminal was also getting huge updates on Z100 in New York. The song was hovering around 3 million AI before the release date.
But Britney didn't promote it....the video became age restricted and the song died prematurely.

How? That song would've slayed the clubs and radios would've died for that song! It really it a club banger and would've done wonders as a single I think.

Like I’ve just said a few minutes ago, ‘Femme Fatale’ was rush-released for two reasons: so Jive could cash in on Britney before the end of the fiscal year and one last time before they dissolved into RCA. We knew since October 2010 the album, ready or not, would hit stores before March 31 (the end of Sony’s fiscal year.) She was still recording the album in February. After how well they did the ‘Circus’ era, the way they handled this era won’t be repeated. Mark my words.

I Knew You Were Trouble. is the SH*T and it's a classic pop hit, the most incredible in history

I think the first three single choices were absolutely great, though I think if TTWE was the 1st single IT would have been #1 AND it would have been a smash one at that. It could have ****-blocked Grenade and Firework as well as Black And Yellow until Born This Way's debut.
I Wanna Go was perfect for Summer...my summer jam right here!
Criminal wasn't the best choice, but the video was superb. Maybe Britney could have just did what Beyonce did and make that video for the fans.
But Drop Dead Beautiful deserved to get released!
Queens: Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, Rihanna, Carly Rae Jepsen, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, Ke$ha
