The aforementioned "Young, Wild & Free" tops the 2 million mark this week. It's Mars' eighth 2 million-seller in two years. There was clearly a void at pop radio for a sweet and soulful male voice. Mars is filling that void rather nicely.
Jason Lipshutz: A song like "One Last Time" demonstrates Grande's newfound maturity and ambition on My Everything: while the downbeat admission of "I know/that you got everything/But I got nothing here without you" is the pained sound of a narrator racked with guilt, the chorus sets aside humiliation and scoops up a sense of hope in front of pummeling drums and a 3-note synth line.
