I don't know if it's racist. That's not a word I like to throw around, so I wouldn't be quick to call anything - even a magazine cover like this one - racist. It's certainly offensive, though.

Well I found it offensive black women were clinging onto a white girl like they wanted to be her (maybe pushing it, but the title made me search for something) cause I didn't see the tagline.

The picture alone wasn't what did it - it was the "stepping out of the shadows" line. If a black woman was in the midst of whites and the caption said, "standing out amongst ghosts" I think people would have a problem as well.

It's very offensive, I guess they tried to be creative & it failed. They could've used a black background, smog/smoke. That's not a good look.
