Actually, do you think POM had a chance to have more longevity and build up? It may have 'saved' the song by having such a strong beginning. IMHO, it did very well.  Happy!!
Also, a local radio stattion in Calgayr, Alberta, Canada might be playign Wide Awake -- it's available to play on their website as a new song. So if it's not being played NOW... it will VERY SOON!
