This song came to my attention late last year and the accompanying music video came out in January. It's a tribute to iconic(for once this word really is in it's place here) duo Emmylou Harris and the late Gram Parsons, as well as June and Johnny Cash.
First Aid Kit consists of Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna. To me their harmonies are reminiscent of the ladies of ABBA, and their writing really is so beautiful in addition to the great vocals. They have something.
Personally I'm a big country fan but I know country isn't something ATRL is particularly fond of. However these girls have the appeal to draw in the snobby indie crowd as well, in my opinion. They're definitely gonna be a festival hit during next year's season if nothing else.. (I'm seeing them in 3 weeks! )
