It's a ruthless industry. If it is a marketing ploy, it generates hype and anticipation for the single and then, when it doesn't happen they can turn around and say "What? Us, use that for marketing!? No way, it was all the bloggers. Our hands are clean "

That's what I'm starting to think it is. Just some well thought publicity. I bet them leaving the same studio was planned and the producers were told to delete the tweet.

It is so funny how lightly she takes the issue HERSELF. Furthermore that is so disrespectful.
Red should send her the long essay he wrote yesterday.

Approaching a song rhythmically, rather than melodically, is something synonymous with Beyonce/DC and probably her claim to fame in respects to the question being posed.Of course CIL pretty much popularized "Go-Go" in popular music. The only other notable "Go-Go" song prior to CIL is "Doin' The Butt", and that was 1988.
An argument could be made that Beyonce is the one who popularized the heavy Urban/Hip-Hop driven backing with R&B outside of the US. "Deja Vu", "Drunk In Love" (in time), and CIL just to name a few.
